Wigan Borough Partnership is the name of the Local Strategic Partnership for the Wigan Borough.
Over the last year the national context for local partnership working has changed significantly and many of the national requirements no longer exist, including Local Area Agreements and Area Based Grants. In July 2011, partners agreed to new proposals for partnership working in the borough, changes which they feel will prove more effective for the services and organisations they are responsible for. The changes agreed are as follows:-
Replace the current LSP Board with a bi-annual Leaders’ Summit to set direction and shared purpose.
Standing down the current arrangements for Local Strategic Management Group, but retaining a membership of senior leaders and influencers to come together for facilitated debates about the big issues with an outcome focused approach to solutions and evaluation.
Standing down of the LSP Advisory Group
Development of new Health and Wellbeing Board and Wigan Forward Board
Development of new 3rd Sector Assembly
Review of the statutory and non-statutory partnerships.
Over the coming months these pages will be amended to reflect the new governance and strucrures of the Partnerships.
