The LSMG is one of the Strategic Groups within the Wigan Borough Partnership and has a leadership role that is complimentary to the LSP Board. Its membership is made up of Chief Officers from the the key public service organisations who work together to:-
- Manage and oversee the delivery of the Local Area Agreement
- Monitor and scrutinise the spending of funds allocated to the LSP.
- Oversee performance of public services.
- Ensure effective performance management systems are in place.
